Pipe End Sections provide a smooth transition from the pipe to the environment upstream and downstream.
Pipe End Sections are used where:
- Improved pipe entrances and exits are necessary for flow capacity purposes
- Square pipe ends extending from an embankment pose a danger to traffic
- The pipe end must be anchored into the embankment
- Aesthetics require the pipe ends to blend smoothly with the surrounding embankment
Pipe End Sections are normally available for pipe diameters up to 72 inches. For larger pipes, endwalls and headwalls are typically employed.
Joints are compatible with those of the pipe to which the end section is attached.
